Ex Dick Shappy in Rhode Island USA. He purchased with another Packard from a collector in New Jersey who claims that it ran when he parked it in the sixties. The other being a 1939 Landaulet by Rollston which belonged to Doris Duke, "The Richest Girl in the World".

Last tags on the New York Plates are from 1949, so it would appear after 12 years & 103000 miles it was retired from use. Extremely complete, down to the curtains in the windows!

This has now been fully restored with modern running gear, power steering, automatic transmission & disc brakes & back to being used as a funeral coach for a Christchurch firm.
